As a PUDDLE OF MUDD fan since day one, I was stoked when I heard the news of a new album coming with the new and improved Wes and his new team at label Pavement Entertainment. Welcome to Galvania, their fifth studio album, has definitely made its mark with the return of the band since the ongoing issues and drama with Wes Scantlin. From public and onstage meltdowns to drug use and possession along with many other incidents and altercations which I, as the writer of this review, will not go into all details with his past, not only because it’s not my business to talk about but also because this is my review of the album and should be focused on just that. Though I will say, as someone who has been through hell and back with mental and addictions problems, I definitely respect Wes and the band for being open and honest to the fans as they work their way back to the top.

If you’re wondering if it was worth the wait.. I’m here to tell you; ABSOLUTELY. Everything about this album screams PUDDLE OF MUDD, between the glorious riffs and the deep, down to earth lyrics it’s safe to say we finally got the band back that we all once loved before. Each song has its own meaning and all flows into the album perfectly.

“Uh Oh”, the lead single, is perfect. This is the song that will bring us older fans back. It’s definitely a sing-along, feel good song, which is what we have all been waiting for.
