DIEMONDS
Never Wanna Die is a good ol' fashioned hard rock album. I have to admit I became of fan of this band and have listened to all 10 tracks continuously. The band is fronted by one sexy women, Priya Panda, who is a complete mix of sexy, glamour and class with an edge. Her vocals are awesome. She's more than just a pretty face. She really commands the stage. C.C. Diemond and Daniel DeKay are fantastic on guitars, with bassist Adam Zlotnik and drummer Aiden Tranquada rounding out this five pack. Never Wanna Die has an 80s mixed with today's hard rock sound. Priya's voice has an old school sound reminiscent of voices like Lita Ford and Joan Jett mixed with today's likenesses of Lzzy Hale. The third track, "Over It", is one of my favorites. With lyrics like "If you feel me then scream", it's just pure rock & roll.
The latest video released for the fourth track, "Ain't That Kinda Girl" was all Priya in the video although easy on the eyes. The song is very explanatory of who she is. The guitar riffs and drums were awesome is this track. This entire album is keeping with the previous two albums' messages of being different is ok, be yourself, wild misfits and live your life your way. The 9th track, "Meet your Maker" is a heavier song about revenge. Another favorite, it's very identifiable for most women. A song everyone will be throwing their fists in the air at during the live shows.
Admittedly a newer and huge fan of this band, I absolutely loved listening to this album. It's got that front woman hard rock voice you can't help but love. The entire band kicks total ass. The band has played a few dates in Japan this past month so keep watching for North American dates. Past tours included direct support to DIRTY PENNY, playing at Rocklahoma, Seattle Hempfest, the Whisky A Go Go and Heavy MTL. They have also had opportunities to play slots with Rock royalty such as GUNS 'N' ROSES, guitarist Slash, STEEL PANTHER and Sebastian Bach and at the top of this hierarchy they played as a support band with KISS on the Kiss Kruise. This band has a made a name for themselves quite obviously. The show will be a must see!
