SAINTS OF REBELLION New American Dream By Alex Yarborough, Orlando Contributor Thursday, March 5, 2015 @ 4:18 PM
First, I love the overall sound of New American Dream. The production is strong with the drums and vocals high in the mix. You’re kicked in the teeth from the start by the first two songs on the album; the title track, which is one of the best lead-off tracks I’ve heard in a long time, and “Gasoline”,
which has attitude to spare. These songs comprise a very strong opening salvo for the album. The ballad “Alone” follows and features piano and organ, and has a very cool LYNYRD SKYNYRD vibe. “Get You Some” has a very heavy groove, while “30 And A 5th” boldly espouses the benefits of a southern lifestyle. I love the lyrics on this song.
Overall, this is a very solid debut album from an up and coming band. Fans of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, BLACK STONE CHERRY, CROWNED BY FIRE and LYNYRD SKYNYRD will definitely enjoy SAINTS OF REBELLION.
