This album is a very refreshing take on a modern hard rock/metal sound. The songs are down-tuned, but are completely up-tempo. They contain themes of defiance, struggles and personal relationships. I can’t understate the energy on this album, I’m really surprised how much is going on here.
Tons of cool riffing and double bass drumming can be found on songs like the opener “Final Say”. Following is the pulsing “The Fall”, which I think could be a modern rock radio
staple the same way VOLBEAT’s “Heaven Nor Hell” did. I think “When I’m Older” could be a legitimate hit single. Next is “Wrath”, which is also upbeat and defiant. I like this song a lot and it’s one of the heavier songs on the album. Other favorites of mine on the album are “Narcissistically Yours” and “Fall To Pieces”.
Jeff has called on several friends to play on this album, including Casey Grillo (KAMELOT), Gus G. (FIREWIND/OZZY), Jason Bieler, Chris McClernon (SAIGON KICK) and the multi-talented Mike Orlando of ADRENALINE MOB. “Final Say” features Mike on no less than guitar, bass and drums. This album is definitely worth checking out!
