"Deadlights Beckon Me" is a multi-faceted song that means a lot to the band. For founding member and drummer, Profana, the song has a literal and figurative meaning. The band's rehearsal space was once given the moniker "the DeadLight Realm" and it was a place of inspiration and creativity.
Profana revealed that the lyrics center on introspection and closure. The band has known tragedy over the years and they lost Dageth, Agathos and Nvathron way too young. Profana said that the song brings him closure, as if those who were lost are reaching out from the deadlight realm to harvest deep inspiration while still focusing on the ethereal morbidity of traditional black metal. Join Profana, Thorgrin, Ddraig and Deimor as they pay homage to those who have gone before us.
