Dave Lombardo of SLAYER Confirms New EP By Tokemaster General, Contributor Thursday, April 19, 2012 @ 12:48 AM
During an interview for Metal Injection at the fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods awards recently, Lombardo relayed the following info, "[We're] writing new music. Kerry (King, guitarist) and I are writing new material. We have nine songs and everything's moving forward."
As far as a delivery date for the new music goes, Lombardo confirmed that we can expect a new EP before SLAYER takes the stage at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this coming Summer. However, there doesn't appear to be a solid release date just yet. When asked about the timeline for the new release, he said, "I don't know, but we're going to do a three- or four-song EP to keep the fans pacified until we come out with the full-length record. Kind of like what we did with 'Psycopathy Red', which was like a two-song 45."
