Vince Neil is out of jail early. The Las Vegas Sun reports Neil was released Friday after serving 10 days of a 15-day sentence for drunk driving. Police arrested Neil after stopping his Lamborghini near the Las Vegas Strip in June.
Meantime, Motley Crue will hit the road with Poison as a support act. The New York Dolls will be a special guest. The tour begins June 7 in Dallas.
System Of A Down are planning a handful of American concerts before they head to Europe. The first dates are in Canada and on the West Coast in May. Gogol Bordello will open. System Of A Down plan to announce more dates later. They had gone on hiatus in 2006.
Paul Stanley of Kiss is going to be a dad again. His wife, Erin, is pregnant with their third child, according to People magazine. She's due in August and they already know they're having a girl. Stanley also has a son from a previous relationship. He says he's excited by "the addition of another princess to our family and a new member of the KISS army."
Queensryche singer Geoff Tate can personally vouch for the quality of his latest creation: his Insania wine. Tate was in Walla Walla, Washington, last week to sample his Insania Red and Insania White wines. The wines will be sold beginning March 15, and pre-orders are being taken now. 80's mainstay, Cinderella have announced a one-off live date, on June 23rd at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, England. The show is part of the Philadelphia-based band's upcoming 25th Anniversary Tour. Dates to be confirmed soon.
Nikki Sixx has a book and an accompanying CD coming out soon. The book is called "This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx." It's a journal full of photos. That's due out April 12th. A month later, Sixx will release a CD with the same title from his band SIXX: A.M., featuring eleven new tracks that will serve as a companion piece to the book.
Soundgarden say their goal for this year is to make another record. The band say on their web site they have been writing and "exploring the creative aspect of being Soundgarden." They say they plan to record soon and they send their fans the "loudest of love."
