As posted by Vince Neil at Motley.com:
After losing my four-year-old daughter Skylar to stomach cancer in August of 1995, I got together with The Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, the west coast division of the T.J. Martell Foundation, and created the Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament, to help raise money and awareness for children's cancer, leukemia and AIDS research at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
For the last six years many celebrities and top business and entertainment executives have returned to help support this important cause. If you've participated in the past, then you know how much fun this tournament can be, not only on the golf course, but also afterwards during our one-of-a-kind live auction. If you haven't attended, then you are missing what many have called "the coolest tournament of the year."
We've been very fortunate over the years to have had a number of corporate sponsors like Kingworld Entertainment, Ralph's Food-4-Less, Thrifty Car-Rental, Playboy Enterprises, Michael J. Peter & Associates, Danni's Hard Drive, Spearmint Rhino, Budweiser, JVC and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter provide generous financial contributions. Other sponsors like Vans, Adidas, Taylor Made, Callaway Golf, EA Sports, Bite Golf, Taylor Guitars, Fila Golf and the WWF have helped to make it even more enjoyable for our participants by donating some great items for our golfer gift bags.
