A brief message at Blue Öyster Cult lead vocalist Eric Bloom's MySpace page reads: "Rudy Sarzo (Dio, ex-Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osborne) will be playing bass for Blue Öyster Cult this Saturday (April 28th) at our show in Texas. And yes, there are possibly more dates."
The performance referred to above will take place this Saturday, April 28th, at the Hawgs Of Texas motorcycle rally in Lake Somerville, TX. Other acts on the bill include Quiet Riot, Vixen and many others.
Former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley will reunite with his first band Wolfsbane for three songs after his solo set at the Rock Of Ages Festival in Tamworth, England on September 9th. As previously reported, Bayley will release his new record at the end of October 2007. The record will contain 14 new songs. According to a band update, "We also confirm for the first time, that the management and the band is planning a massive tour 2008/2009, covering over 150 concerts all over the world."
Rob Zombie has posted the following message: "Finally the first ever Zombie live album is on its way this August. Recorded over several nights during the Educated Horses tour, the CD will include a 36-page super deluxe book of never-before-seen live pics and also a DVD of live footage and animated videos. Stay tuned for the track listing."
Rockstar Supernova vocalist Lukas Rossi has announced three solo shows. The dates/venues are: June 10 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA, June 15 at Rock N Roll Pizza in Portland, OR, and June 16 at Chop Suey in Seattle, WA.
Twisted Sister has been added to the line-up for this year's Rocklohoma festival. This is Twisted Sister’s only announced North American show for 2007. To date, Rocklahoma's three-day line-up includes: Friday, July 13: Poison, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Y&T, White Lion. Saturday, July 14: Vince Neil, Dokken, Winger, Skid Row, Warrant, Firehouse, Enuff Z Nuff, Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys, Bang Tango. Sunday, July 15: Twisted sister, W.A.S.P., Jackyl, Great White, LA Guns, Britny Fox.
Tickets for Bon Jovi’s opening gig at The O2 Arena in London, England this June went on sale at 9:00am April 20th and after thousands of fans jammed the phone line and internet to get their hands on tickets, the show was sold out by 9:01am. Bon Jovi, who sold over 300,000 tickets and six stadiums at their British shows last year, will be appearing at The O2 on Sunday June 24th. It will be the first time in 15 years that Bon Jovi have played indoors.
