According to their management, Kittie have been forced to change the name of their record company from Kiss Of Infamy to X Of Infamy. The band received a cease-and-desist letter recently from the attorneys representing Kiss Catalog Ltd., the owner of trademarks relating to the band KISS.
Cradle of Filth guitarist Paul Allender has issued the following update: "Just want to let everyone know that I've started a dark art project with photographer Cindy Frey. Our website will be up and running soon. Click on the Vomitorium banner on my page (http://www.paulallender.co.uk/)."
According to the band's website, Strapping Young Lad's Devin Townsend has been set to produce and mix the new record from Darkest Hour. The new release will be the follow-up to the band's Undoing Ruin.
Novinite.com is reporting Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum (former drummer of Guns N' Roses) has proposed to Sonia Vassi, the first Bulgarian to ever appear in Playboy magazine in the U.S. (2003). A former girlfriend of Slash (Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses) and Paul Stanley (KISS), she is also the lead singer of L.A. rock band Naked. The Playboy Bulgarian has a daughter from her previous marriage to Major League baseball star Brady Anderson.
Glenn Danzig is pissed off enough to take the law, and somebody's life, into his own hands after a tour truck carrying his stage equipment was stolen on Thursday nigh. Danzig and his band were relaxing after a show in Los Angeles when the equipment vehicle was stolen. As well as asking fans for information, angry Danzig is planning his revenge on the thieves.
He fumes, "I should be able to kill somebody if they fuck with me."
In a related story...Sanctity was forced to miss last night's (Dec. 2) concert at The Eagles club in Milwaukee with Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth and Gojira after somebody stole the band's van. No word yet if the van-jacking will keep Sanctity from keeping up with, and performing on the rest of the tour.
It's been twenty years (December 3, 1986) since a lawsuit was filed against Judas Priest and CBS Records, alleging two fans shot themselves after listening to the band`s music for six hours.
