Big Vin Records, owned and operated by former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul has their first gold award to hang on their big, bad Texas walls. Dimevision Vol. 1 That's The Fun I Have has been certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) meaning, well, it's the real deal. Dimevision was a labor of love made in collaboration with Vinnie, Dime's lifelong "Babe In Arms" Rita Haney, Red Ezra and Bobby Tongs. In the studio, the house, the closets, under the bed, in road cases, suitcases, boxes and more sat miles and miles of videotape from years on the road, off the road, off the hook. Featuring segments of Dime and some of those closest to him, "DimevisionS" is a glorious legacy of one of rock's greatest guitarists and most colorful characters. Released on May 2, 2006, Dimevision debuted at #1 on Billboard's DVD chart. Big Vin's simultaneous CD release, "Rebel Meets Rebel," featuring Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell," Vinnie, Dime, bassist Rex Brown and vocalist David Allen Coe debuted at #2 on Billboard's Indie chart. For those who¹d like to shake his hand, Vinnie will be onsite in Austin this coming Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Emo's Lounge the 2006 Summer NAMM convention. In what appears to be the only "open to the public" event during the convention, Emo's Lounge will play host to the incredible and most awesome "Six String Masterpieces" Dimebag Darrell Tribute. SIX-STRING MASTERPIECES is a charitable fine-art exhibit of DEAN ML Guitars that have been hand-painted, illustrated and sculpted by many of America's favorite rock musicians and tattoo artists.
