Great White - Victim Impact Statements Continue in Second Day of Sentencing Hearing For Band Manager By Newsferatu, Writer Tuesday, May 9, 2006 @ 7:15 AM
Twenty-one family members spoke yesterday, the first day of a three-day sentencing hearing for Great White's manager, Daniel Biechele. He faces up to ten years in prison for his role in putting on the pyrotechnics display which sparked the deadly fire.
Family members spoke yesterday about how they have suffered sleeplessness, depression, a sense of emptiness...others say they are no longer able to work because of the grief. Some spoke of the pain of telling children that their parents were never coming back. Others described the pain of imagining the last moments of their loved ones.
Prosecutors are expected to read nearly 20 statements this morning, and more family members are expected to speak this afternoon.
