The soldiers -- who have served in either Afghanistan or Iraq and are currently on leave in Frankfurt, Germany and Venice, Italy -- will fly from London to Manhattan next week for a few days of well-deserved fun that culminates in a special performance by Korn on November 29th at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.
The soldiers will join Korn and MTV Europe contest winners for the "See You On The Other Side" chartered flight and concert, which will help set the stage for the release of Korn's new album "See You On The Other Side," out December 6th on EMI/Virgin Records.
"We already have the private plane arranged and we were thinking, 'Who else can we bring with us to New York City besides the contest winners?'" said Korn in a statement. "We just figured, 'Who really needs to get away and spend a few days in New York City?' So we thought it'd be cool if we were joined by some soldiers on the plane and bring them back to U.S. soil for a real taste of home and some U.S. rock and roll right after Thanksgiving. We're absolutely honored to do this."
