My Ruin New Band, New Album, New Tour By Newsferatu, Writer Friday, September 16, 2005 @ 9:51 AM
My Ruin head out in support of their upcoming Rovena Recordings release, "The Brutal Language" (September 27). Adding to the credibility and fact of My Ruin's 'DIY' style, Rovena Recordings is the band's own label which is marketed and distributed by 33rd Street Records/Bayside Entertainment Distribution.
After a successful firsttour with My Ruin, new bassist Chris Lisee and
drummer Jason Brunk feel right at home and are looking forward to hitting the road again for Part II of the Jagermeister sponsored tour at the end of the month.
"We just want to get out there and rock" said guitarist/songwriter Mick
Murphy, whom also produced the new record. "Chris & Jason are a great
edition to the band and although they didn't record the new album with
Tairrie and I, they help bring it to life live. It's great having them in the
band and we're all really excited about the next few months".
" It's kinda crazy doing everything ourselves at the moment but it feels
amazing to know we are" said frontwoman Tairrie B. "I can't wait for people to hear the new record and see the band live for the first time".
The tour kicks off at the Whisky in Hollywood on 9/23 as the band's Record Release Party!! The band will be performing and early set at 10PM and after their performance, will be signing the new record and posters for their friends & fans!!
