Why should we care and why should this take up any KNAC.COM space? Well, Wicked Wisdom is playing Ozzfest. That's right, OZZFEST!
Sure, you probably knew this...or maybe you saw the band name, but didn't make the connection. Now that it's clear...if you've been checking the boards at Ozzfest.com, it's been brutal.
The Hollywood actress and her band are at the receiving end of all sorts of threats. "Wicked Wisdom will be pelted by every loose object on the Ozzfest grounds," one comment claimed.
Smith's band supported Britney Spears on a European tour last year and have also opened for Papa Roach, but regardless of what you think of Papa Roach, playing with Britney pretty much seals the deal.
The word is Sharon Osbourne is a big fan of Jada's band and that's how they got on the bill.
Jada is definitely paying her dues here, and it's hard to find a similar situation to help her look ahead to what's in store. But, here's one example, albeit not a metal example: In 1981 the Rolling Stones played Los Angeles and Prince was the opening act. The fans pelted him with shoes and just about anything else they could find to fling. Prince left the stage early and later stated he would never play live again. He went on to do pretty well in the biz.
