“This song defines the mood of the new record and the center of the anger I felt writing it,” swears SHATTERED SUN vocalist Marcos Leal. “In today’s world everyone points the finger at each other, places the blame on each other and no one wants to be liable for their surrounding negative situations. Some people tend to hide in the shadows of cowardice, yet are the first to condemn others to the eyes of the public. This song is our message, we aren’t asleep and you can’t bury us all!”
On the upcoming tour, Leal recalls, “We met the ACT OF DEFIANCE guys years ago on the set during our very first professional TV appearance on Evan Seinfeld’s show Pedal To The Metal. I might have been a very naïve kid at the time, but I mentioned to Chris (Broderick, ACT OF DEFIANCE guitarist) about hopefully being able to share the stage with ACT OF DEFIANCE one day, and here we are, slotted as direct support for them! Keep an eye out because SHATTERED SUN is bringing the riffs and circle pits to a city near you!” Drummer Rob Garza exclaims, “It’s gonna be wild to talk drums with (ACT OF DEFIANCE drummer) Shawn Drover and just riff out every night. Also, we will be playing our newest single “Blame” so be on the lookout for that on the stage and on the screen!”
SHATTERED SUN released The Evolution Of Anger in July 2017, and immediately hit the ground running as part of the Vans Warped Tour that year and dates with HATEBREED and DEVILDRIVER. “This is a New Year, we’re ready to hit the road hard again, and this tour with ACT OF DEFIANCE is going to be a full on riff-madness shredder,” promises guitarist Danny Trejo. “We are excited to keep things going and see new faces on the road.”
