Former Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe's long-awaited Japanese solo EP is scheduled for an April 24th release. Monroe is also ready to record a full-length studio album for Germany’s SPV Records and is currently waiting for them to come through with the budget to begin tracking. Monroe debuted his new backing band at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland on Saturday, January 12th. The band includes Pink Gibson (a.k.a. Adam Bomb) and Costello on guitars, Lacu on drums, and Timpa on bass.
In the meantime, Monroe has been playing dates in Fginland with former Hanoi guitarist Andy McCoy under the name Hanoi Revisited. McCoy recently told KNAC.COM that a collaboration album is in the can. The duo will perform on January 22nd at the Midem Festival in Cannes, France.
