NEW YORK (Billboard) - Red Hot Chili Peppers, System Of A Down and Mike Watt will play a Nov. 15 benefit concert in Los Angeles for music and cancer causes.
The show will be held at the Palladium; tickets go on-sale Nov. 13 via Ticketmaster. The event will benefit the Silverlake Conservatory of Music and the Warschaw Center for Prostate Cancer Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Last month, Pearl Jam held a benefit in Santa Barbara, Calif., for the Warschaw Center, at which Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante made a guest appearance.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will on Nov. 18 release their "Greatest Hits" CD/DVD via Warner Bros., as well as the DVD Live at Slane Castle. One of the new tracks on the album, "Fortune Faded," is available on two separate import singles, augmented with three previously unreleased cuts.
System Of A Down is at work on the follow-up to 2001's Toxicity, and will begin recording early next year. Watt has Nov. 28-29 gigs lined up with Banyan, which also features Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins and guitarist Nels Cline.
