Shadows Fall: Balancing Act

Massachusetts-based Shadows Fall have been busy little metalheads for the last year…and do not appear to be taking a breather anytime soon. After touring the world to promote their Century Media debut, Of One Blood, the band has already begun work on the sophomore follow up, tentatively titled The Art Of Balance and have eight song already written.
In addition, the band will contribute a track to Boston radio station WERS’s upcoming compilation album of live in-studio tracks. The also features tracks by Candiria, God Forbid, Haste, Dillinger Escape Plan, Killswitch Engage, Poison The Well, 18 Visions, Knut, Origin, Cephalic Carnage, All That Remains, Unearth, and others. Coincidently, Shadows Fall's Deadworld EP, released earlier this year in Japan, features tracks from the WERS session; however, the Shadows Fall track to be included on the WERS compilation will not be one of the tracks on the EP.
Meanwhile, vocalist Brian Fair recently leant his pipes for a guest spot on the new Killswitch Engage album. Not ones to stand around while other band members are off workin’, bassist and guitarist Paul Romanko and John Donais lent their backing vocal talents to five songs on the upcoming Hatebreed album, Perseverance, which will be released mid-2002. The duo crooned on the title track and the songs "Unloved," "The Spoiler," "Proven" and "I Will Be Heard."
For now, Shadows Fall will hit the road with Hatebreed, Converge and Poison The Well in late December for a mini-tour that is sure to rock.
