According to his MySpace page, "Stephen Pearcy and RATT are headed back in the studio to finish up their long awaited new release!
With the first leg of the 25th year tour completed with EXTREME, Ratt lead singer Stephen Pearcy will begin lead vocal tracks. Lead guitarist Warren De Martini will finish up lead guitars and the band with back up vocal tracks end of month.
Guns N' Roses anthem "Sweet Child O' Mine" has been named the Greatest Guitar Riff in a new poll. Eric Clapton's 1971 hit "Layla" came second in the poll of 5,000 music lovers. Aerosmith's"Walk This Way" landed the third spot while Michael Jackson's "Beat It" came fourth, and Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades" rounded off the top five.
Florida-based melodic metal legends Crimson Glory have announced that original bassist and founding member Jeff Lords will join the band for their headlining performance at the ProgPower USA X festival on September 11th at the Center Stage in Atlanta, GA.
The Saw 6 soundtrack is seeking song submissions for the album to be released October 20th. This soundtrack will be released by Twisted Pictures/Trustkill simultaneously with the new movie and will feature movie cues. On Rocktober 6th, Steel Panther will release Feel The Steel, the culmination of a glam metal revival suited perfectly for 2009. Feel The Steel, produced by Jay Ruston, features 'Death To All But Metal' and 'Community Property', and will mark the major label debut from the spandex-clad quartet. The album will hit fans on September 29th via iTunes before finding its way to store shelves nationally on October 6th.
