Armored Saint Live in Hollywood (Take 2) By Craig Williams, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 @ 4:29 PM
Since I started working at KNAC some #$&! years ago, I have never missed an Armored Saint show, and I wasn’t about to miss this one.
So when the mighty Armored Saint came to The Key Club in Hollywood, California...I decided to roll the dice and was not disappointed...
Here’s a test for you: make a list of your own of an all star metal band. I will put my band against yours and what you’ve got?...
Armored Saint was, and is, one of the most influential bands in the metal scene, they’ve opened doors that has allowed many to go through and rise...
Tonight at the Key Club, Armored Saint was incredibly tight and performed with perfection...
If I sound a bit bias, maybe I am...but I don’t think anyone can come up with an argument on why Armored Saint is not one of the greatest metal bands. If you got one I’d like to hear it...just be prepared to lose the argument.
On this friday night at the Key Club in Hollywood, The Saint ripped through a set consisting of “Reign Of Fire”, “March Of The Saint”, “Paydirt”, “Warzone”, “Last Train Home”, “Book Of Blood”, “False Alarm”, “Aftermath”, “Symbol Of Salvation”, “Long Before I Die” and “Chemical Euphoria” with the encore of “Can U Deliver” and “Mad House”.
By the way, If you’ve never been to an Armored Saint show, a madhouse pit is truly intense and not for the weak...
They say you can never go back...and why would you want to? but then again, there’s always the exception to the rule...
I don’t think that I am alone in this thinking, but I am am hoping that this is a new chapter for the “MARCH OF THE SAINT!!!”
Oh, and just one last note: “Delirious Nomad” is on my desert island list...which Saint album is on yours?
