This past weekend, Lizzy Borden shot a video for the song 'Tomorrow Never Comes' in downtown Los Angeles. The clip, shot on location with director Kevin Mcvey, is described as "a haunted little tale."? This will be the first video from the band's forthcoming album, Appointment With Death, due in the US on October 30th via Metal Blade Records (November 5th in Europe).
Biomechanical have issued the following update: "We are very happy to announce that the Biomechanical line-up is now complete with the addition of bassist Adrian Lambert! Adrian also plays with Son Of Silence and has also played for Dragonforce and Intense. His fast and furious bass style is exactly what the band was looking for! The band will get together soon and will get ready for touring the new Biomechanical album Cannibalised (out Feb 2008)."
Led Zeppelin fans are due to find out later whether their applications to see the band reunite on stage in London have been successful. More than a million people took part in an online ballot, but just 20,000 tickets are available for the show, on 26 November at the O2 arena in London.
Rush's Neil Peart, who turned 55 on September 12, received some pretty cool belated birthday presents from Enter Music Publishing, publishers of hip/percussion magazine worldwide, such as DRUM! And Traps Magazine. During this year's Drummies Peart was nominated Drummer Of The Year by 4000 drummers, who participated in the readership survey conducted by DRUM! for the Drummies. The runners-up were: Danny Carey, Vinnie Colaiuta, Thomas Lang.
Toyota USA dealers gathered for their annual convention at the University of Hawaii and were treated to a private concert. Toyota officials said it took about 1,000 people to organize the event, which featured venders of all kinds and a private concert with Stevie Nicks and Aerosmith. The school closed off the athletic complex, the lower campus and areas of the upper campus for a 10-hour period -- an inconvenience school officials said was a small price to pay for $500,000 check from Toyota.
Flotsam And Jetsam, Attacker, Chris Caffery and Icarus Witch are among the acts confirmed for the TMT Metal Fest 2008, which will take place July 18th-20th, 2008 at the Old Pine Inn (aka The Country Pines) in Endicott, New York.
