Rage Against The Machine only vowed to reunite after realizing the "right-wing purgatory" the US has become since they split seven years ago. Frontman Zach De La Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk announced last month they will take to the stage together for the first time since 2000 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in April. And they hope the gig will inspire festival-goers to take stock of George W. Bush's presidency. Morello says, "Is it a coincidence that in the seven years that Rage Against The Machine has been away that the country has slid into right-wing purgatory? I think not. It occurred to all of us that the times were right to see if we can knock the Bush administration out in one fell swoop, and we hope to do that job well."

According to Toronto-based radio station Q107, these Led Zeppelin reunion rumors are really heating up. Original bassist John Paul Jones was seen at Trinifold Management in London, England recently with singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page apparently discussing plans for as reunion that will feature late drummer John Bonham's son Jason on the skins. The last time the original three performed was on July 13, 1985 at the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, for a short set featuring drummers Tony Thompson (Chic) and Phil Collins (Genesis). Jones has been noticeably "absent" during Page/Plant's musical activities post-Led Zeppelin.
The following from the New York Post's "Starr Report": "Mike Diamond (club owner), Scott Ian (Anthrax) are shopping a rock-themed pilot to the networks." Not a lot of detail on this yet, but the official Anthrax website says, "You just know this will involve food, drinking, metal or drinking and eating while talking about metal."
