Stoner Rock/Doom act PATRIARCHS IN BLACK was formed in 2021 by HADES founder/guitarist Dan Lorenzo and drummer Johnny Kelly (TYPE O NEGATIVE, DANZIG). The group has gone on to release a new album each year; Reach For The Stars (2022), My Veneration (2023), and on July 19, 2024, their latest Visioning.

All PATRIARCHS IN BLACK releases are supported by an ever changing array of guest vocalists and bassists. For their third effort Visioning, Lorenzo and Kelly are joined by Dave Neabore (DOG EAT DOG), Karl Angel (CORROSION OF CONFORMITY), Mark Sunshine (UNIDA), Jason McMaster, (DANGEROUS TOYS), Kyle Thomas (EXHORDER), and others. I had the chance to catch up with guitarist Dan Lorenzo to find out more.
