It's been a slow ride (pun intended) for the legendary FOGHAT for over 50 years, and they are enjoying every waking moment. Led by founding member and drummer ROGER EARL, FOGHAT's music and moniker has become ingrained in pop culture. It’s not just their mega hit "Slow Ride" that is instantly recognizable, but also tracks such as "Driving Wheel", "Fool For The City", and "I Just Want To Make Love To You" have become mainstays on the radio, in movies, in video games, and other media.

On November 10, 2023, FOGHAT is set to release their first new studio album in seven years, Sonic Mojo. The album is their 17th overall and will be released on their own imprint Foghat Records. I had the chance to catch up with new minted vocalist and guitarist SCOTT HOLT to discuss the latest album, as well as co-writing with the late Kim Simmonds (SAVOY BROWN), bringing in a song from Roger's brother Colin Earl, the stories behind the singles, Scott's history and recruitment into the group, the current FOGHAT tour schedule, Holt's involvement in the Variety Record Shop in Columbia, TN, and much, much more.
