1983 marked the first official recording for German Metal Queen Doro Pesch. Burning The Witches was the name of the album, and Doro was fronting WARLOCK at the time. After a handful of albums, concluding with their benchmark album Triumph And Agony in 1987, Doro Pesch ventured out as a solo act.
Throughout her four decade career, Doro Pesch has probably performed in every subgenre of Rock music. However, Doro always returned to her first love, Heavy Metal. Doro Pesch is celebrating 40 years as an artist in 2023. To mark the occasion she is set to release Conqueress: Forever Strong And Proud on October 27, 2023.
The very next day, Pesch has lined-up a special 40th Anniversary concert in her hometown of Dusseldorf, Germany, with more live performances on the horizon. I had the chance to catch up with Doro ahead of the album's release.
Highlights include:
-Discussion of Conqueress: Forever Strong And Proud
-Finally securing a duet with Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST)
-Mad Max inspired video for "Time For Justice"
