ALICE COOPER touring guitarist NITA STRAUSS has had a whirlwind of a year in anticipation of her sophomore solo album The Call of Void. Jaws dropped last July when she announced her departure from ALICE COOPER to join Popstar DEMI LOVATO on her Holy Fvck Tour. Not long after the tour concluded, it was announced that NITA STRAUSS returned home to ALICE COOPER's band and was also part of the writing and performing on COOPER's upcoming album The Road.

The latest solo effort by NITA STRUSS, The Call of Void, features guest vocalists Alissa White-Gluz (ARCH ENEMY), David Draiman (DISTURBED), Dorothy Martin (DOROTHY), Ander Friden (IN FLAMES), Chris Motionless (MOTIONLESS IN WHITE), Lzzy Hale (HALESTORM), Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH), Lilith Czar, and of course ALICE COOPER.

Despite all the extra vocal help, STRAUSS still manages to shred her way through multiple instrumental tracks. I had the chance to catch up with the recently engaged NITA STRUSS to find out more.
