KNAC.COM spoke with singer CHEZ KANE on September 20th, 2022, who is about to release her sophomore album Powerzone via Frontiers Records. I happened upon one of Chez Kane’s clips in 2020 of her covering “Life Is Beautiful” and then as you know, you watch one clip, then another and another and another…She released her self-titled album in March of 2021. Chez released a couple singles from that album, “Too Late For Love” which is a throwback to the glory days of melodic hard rock dominating the radio waves, and speaking of radio, the second single “Rocket On The Radio” is another 80s inspired melodic rocker. Once again, she is working with DANNY REXON from CRAZY LIXX who wrote and produced the album. Powerzone has already produced two music videos, “I Just Want You” which is somewhat controversial due to its content and the fun throwback to the 80s “[The Things We Do] When We’re Young In Love”. We talked to Chez about Powerzone, working with Danny Rexon again, the music videos, The Monsters of Rock Cruise, and the status of her band KANE’D.
