Horror Punk mainstay WEDNESDAY 13 is set to release his ninth studio album Horrifier on October 7, 2022 through Napalm Records. The album draws most of its inspiration from cult horror movie classics, but also finds WEDNESDAY 13 looking inside himself on the album’s final song.
2022 also marks the 20th anniversary of THE MURDERDOLLS’ classic album Beyond The Valley of The Murderdolls, which featured WEDNESDAY 13 alongside the late Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT). I had the opportunity to speak with WEDNESDAY 13 ahead of the release of Horrifier, and we covered all that has encompassed his 20 years of fear.
Highlights include:
-Discussion of latest album Horrifier
-Stories behind the singles
-Has W13 been approached for horror movies
-How writing helped him cope with loss
-His new interactive fan club & comic book
-Lockdowns helping him examine what his fans want
-Signing with Napalm Records
-Current U.S. Tour
-The hostile takeover of THE MURDERDOLLS trademark
-Memories of recording Beyond The Valley of The Murderdolls
-His 1st solo album also reaching the 20 year milestone
-The future of his side project BOURBON CROW
-How he settled on the moniker WEDNESDAY 13
-And much, much more
