We spoke with vocalist Robby Thomas Walsh of the band PURPENDICULAR on August 4th, 2022. Robby founded PURPENDICULAR in 2007. The band was started as a DEEP PURPLE tribute act then evolved and began to play ‘original’ material. The band retained its PURPLE influences amongst other as Robby will mention here. PURPENDICULAR have recorded a handful of studio albums and are set to release Human Mechanic on September 23rd, 2022, via Metalville. I was not familiar with PURPENDICULAR until I hear the new album and it’s fantastic! Tunes like “Nothing Box”, “Ghost”, “Something Magical” and “Human Mechanic” make the album worth owning. Did I mention that the band features drummer IAN PAICE from DEEP PURPLE?! Wow!
