"Stay Heavy, Stay Thirsty" has been the motto of German Thrash Legends TANKARD who have kept Thrashers throwing back beers and throwing up their horns in praise of one of Thrash Metals greats who rose up along with the scene and only strengthened it decade after decade, release after release. They will be releasing a box set titled For A Thousand Beers highlighting the beginning of their career with a plethora of memories inside.
Ahead of its release I got to chat with vocalist Gerre who shared with us some of his memories and feelings about TANKARD over the past 4 decades, the departure from Nuclear Blast, how they are more than just a beer-drinking-thrasher - and much more.
