Thrash Metal's roots are heavily grounded in the Bay Area. A family tree that extended to all over the world, the Thrash scene thrives in what seems like a revival in the past decade. Credit goes to many of the Thrash bands that are still driving to this day. And driving indeed as the golf-carts will demonstrate as I had a chance to talk to Gary Holt of Veteran thrashers EXODUS who return with their 11th release Persona Non Grata, due out November 16th through Nuclear Blast Records. These Bay area Kings have been ripping it up for over 36 years and this album marks Gary's full time return to the home team with their first release in 7 years. I caught up with Gary to talk about the new record, drummer Tom Hunting's health and much more.
