Guitar Virtuoso BERNTH Challenges Fans To Play Catchiest Riff From Elevation To Win $2,000 Ibanez Guitar By Larry Petro, News Monkey Wednesday, May 19, 2021 @ 11:15 AM
“The new single features one of my favorite riffs on the entire album – it's a tricky combination of chords and tapping slides,” says BERNTH. “I would like to challenge my online guitar community to post a quick cover of the main riff! Make sure to tag my Instagram or Facebook profile. The best contribution gets the golden Ibanez Prestige guitar I played on tour in 2019. I played it at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals and there are tons of amazing memories and moments stored in that guitar!”
Second and third place winners of the challenge will receive a free Elevation Box Set, including a Digipak, personally signed autograph card, five poster practice set and a personal message from BERNTH.
Tabs for the “Dopamine” main riff are available for free on his Patreon page, don't forget to tag BERNTH in your post to enter the competition: www.patreon.com/bernth. Watch the official “Dopamine” video now on KNAC.COM HERE
“Dopamine” is the second single from Elevation, following BERNTH’s massively successful interpretation of Paganini’s “Caprice No. 24”. “I couldn't believe how fast the first music video was growing on YouTube, it has over 400.000 views after just a couple of weeks!” BERNTH says. “Guitar World Magazine featured it amongst many other huge media outlets and I'm so happy to finally release the full album after four years of hard work. Elevation is for all the guitar lovers and shred enthusiasts out there, let's blast it on full volume on release day to prove that guitar music is NOT dead!”
Elevation is available now at https://bernth.myshopify.com/.
Before focusing on his YouTube and Instagram presence, BERNTH mainly worked with the Austrian pop/rock act Seiler und Speer, playing on multiple gold and platinum-certified albums and singles in his home country. His roots lie in the extreme metal genre, where he started his career as a session/live guitar player for the Austrian band BELPHEGOR in 2010. He also wrote David Hasselhoff's debut metal song “Through the Night” with his electronic metal project CUESTACK. Aside from his work on stage and in the studio, he is a double honor student of the Vienna Music Institute, where he studied jazz guitar and instrumental pedagogics. BERNTH has taught over 10,000 students in the last two years with his online courses, “10 Steps to Modern Shredding” and “Sweep Picking Masterclass” on www.bernth.at and with his weekly video lesson content on www.patreon.com/bernth.
