Morbid Angel Live at the Palla

This is a show I never thought I’d see… Morbid Angel with the almighty David Vincent!! I don’t care what he did between Entangled in Chaos and last night because him being back in Morbid Angel is all that matters.

Let me just say for a Palladium show, there were a lot of death metal fans in attendance. Generally this club draws more hardcore-wanna-be karate kids than metal fans.

I got to the show about 10 minutes before Morbid Angel… perfect timing. The lights dimmed and the place freaked out. Opening with “Rapture,” Morbid brought the place to it’s knees.

This was basically a show that a review cannot do justice. You just had to be there to understand what a great show it was. I’ve seen Morbid Angel with both Steve Tucker and Jared something-or-other. Both times I had a great time at the show, but David Vincent brings an energy and presence Jared And Steve couldn’t.

(I’m missing one song but I can’t remember off hand what it was)

Morbid Angel was so on and so good that night that it almost seemed like they could have played something off Formulas Fatal to My Ears and it would have sounded great!!
