Suffocation Live in Latham, NY By Tokemaster General, Contributor Thursday, March 17, 2005 @ 12:30 AM
Well, this is about my 4th or 5th Suffocation review… and as always… Suffocation blew the roof off the place again.
We got to the club just as Cattle Decapitation was going on. I’m not a big fan of theirs, but they weren’t the worst band I’ve ever heard. Not much of a review for this set. Highlight of the set for me was the song name “Bukakke Tsunami.”
Next we had Behemoth. Again, not a fan. Even less of a fan than I am of Cattle Decapitation. As my buddy says, the face paint is SOO scary. This isn’t Europe… sorry.
NOW…the band everyone was waiting for… the GREATEST death metal of all-time… SUFFOCATION. They opened the set with “Infecting the Crypts.” Like every other Suffocation show I’ve seen, (not counting back in ’98) the place went nuts. Frank seemed in a great mood tonight and was on all night.
I guess the best way to sum up a Suffocation show is like this: If you haven’t seen it… WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! How many bands can play every single song they have and still not play a bad song? Not many. The set was something like this… in no order:
Infecting the Crypts
