Well, I had a blast at the Death Angel/Metal Church show last night. So much fun actually I've been recovering all day from a mild case of whiplash!

I'll keep it short and simple. Both bands (DA and Metal Church) were excellent. They gave Portland the thrash show of the year, non-stop killer metal just the way you like it.

Mark talked about how long it's been since they came here (14 years!) and how they had to make up for lost time. It's obvious they love Portland, and it showed. The crowd was fucking nuts. Shouting out lyrics and a crazy pit. I'm gonna ache for days, my ears are blown and I have no voice.

I got a setlist from the soundguy (who did a killer job, the mix was top-notch): they cut “Veil” (dammit!), “Never Me” and it seemed like they were going to do the complete version of “Ultra-Violence,” but cut it for time.
