L.A. Guns/Enuff Z'Nuff Live in Milan By Tokemaster General, Contributor Sunday, May 4, 2003 @ 9:28 AM
Keri Kelli - (amazing) guitar Brent Muscat - guitar Adam Hamilton - bass Steve Riley - (pounding) drums I admit I was a little skeptical for Tracii's departure -- hey, he was the man in that band! But I immediately had to change my idea: this is one of the most energetic shows I've ever seen! The band was one thing and, believe me, Keri Kelli is a blast on stage! I also heard from many parts that Phil's vocals were often bad on tour: well, not that night! He was the master of the stage and his final scream on "Don't Look at Me That Way" really impressed everyone. They performed old and new stuff and, to my much surprise, every song had the same, incredible response from the crowd. The guys themselves were clearly surprised by how everyone screamed every single word of each song! Highlights of the show were surely a cut (sigh!) version of "Crystal Eyes," during which Phil was forced to stop singing by the overwhelming scream of the crowd, who continued the entire song alone(!!!), "Beautiful" from Man in the Moon, which has finally become a classic (with the crowd screaming again), "Sex Action" and "Hellraiser's Ball." Well, finally, what I can say is: don't lose the opportunity to see this band live, it's a powerful experience. I think L.A. Guns should look at Italy more and more for the following years... God bless Keri Kelli!
