LAST IN LINE Release Two Videos In Tribute To Bassist JIMMY BAIN By Larry Petro, News Monkey Monday, January 25, 2016 @ 2:40 PM
As guitarist Vivian Campbell stated yesterday in a statement on his social media: “It's with the heaviest of hearts that I must confirm the news of the passing of our dear friend and LAST IN LINE band-mate, Jimmy Bain. It was Jimmy who gave me my first big break in the music industry and for that I am forever indebted. Jimmy was immensely proud of our new album and his input to it was immeasurable. We will continue to celebrate his life through his music. On behalf of Vinny and Andrew, our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this most difficult of times. Rest in peace, dear friend.”
The lyric video for “Blame It On Me” can be seen below. The video for “Starmaker” can be seen on KNAC.COM right HERE. LAST IN LINE was comprised of the original DIO band members Vivian Campbell on guitars, Jimmy Bain on bass and Vinny Appice on drums. Newcomer Andrew Freeman rounds out the lineup on vocals.
“Blame It On Me” and “Starmaker” come from the debut album Heavy Crown. The record is slated for release worldwide on February 19th via Frontiers Music SRL. The band released an official video last November for the song “Devil In Me” that has been viewed over 223,000 times since. The video for that song can be seen on KNAC.COM right HERE.
The track listing for Heavy Crown is:
LAST IN LINE formed in 2012 when original DIO band members reunited to pay tribute to the memory of Ronnie James Dio who passed away in 2010. The band took their name from the legendary DIO album that guitarist Vivian Campbell, bassist Jimmy Bain and drummer Vinny Appice all performed on. While playing that original material, they started to write and create new songs that would later become the debut Heavy Crown. They tapped newcomer Andrew Freeman to handle the vocal duties and the nucleus for LAST IN LINE was created.
