The place was packed all the way to the bar area. I know, because that's where I was... . I don't know about the upper balcony, because it was pretty dark above me, but I could see people lined up along the whole railing.
Buckethead's third solo was Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption." It was damn good, I must say.
It was during “Mr. Brownstone” that Axl got hit in the face with a KFC bucket. I thought to myself "shit"!! He is going to get pissed off. But, to my surprise, he kept on singing and he eventually wore the KFC Bucket for about 30 seconds.
They finally resolved Axl's mic problem after “Oh My God.” Robin heaved/threw his guitar big time. I don't blame Axl for being pissed. I would be too if the crowd couldn't hear the lyrics because of technical problems.
I felt that the crowd booed Axl because he was putting down the former members with his remarks about them only caring about being "celebrities" He wasn't angry or pissed when he made the remarks. He just said them in a matter of fact tone. Kinda raised his eyebrows a little.
All in all, I thought the show was great once they worked out the technical problems. This new line-up can definitely play. I saw the old line-up live back in the early nineties and this was my first time hearing and seeing this new line-up live. I really enjoyed watching Robin play. I can't wait for the new album to come out. It will do very well. I guess the only question is when will it come out?
