What can be said. At 10:30 p.m., I thought a riot was about to occur as Axl
and the boys were a no show... at 10:45, the band came on and performed with
high intensity. Not much talk inbetween songs... The boys played one song
after another. They opened with Welcome to the Jungle and closed with
Paradise City 2 hours later.
Axl sounded great. He hit all of the notes that you would hope he would
hit. The band was very tight. Interestingly, they had 3 guitarists.
Buckethead as previously reported was very funny. He did a funny dance and
played great. He hit the November Rain solo perfectly. The other
guitarists were great as well.
They played just about every song of Appetite that you would want to hear.
My highlight was night train which was great. They played Live and Let Die,
You Could be Mine, Patience, November Rain, Knockin on Heavens Door. Three
new songs of Chinese Democracy. Two were slower songs and one more upbeat.
Overall a great show and If they show up, highly worth the price of
admission.
