Jackyl Live in Daytona By Tokemaster General, Contributor Monday, October 28, 2002 @ 1:37 AM
Well for a venue that usually expects performances from the likes of the Marshall Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet or Lynyrd Skynyrd, I think the crowd might have been a little overwhelmed at first with the intensity and vigor of Jesse James Dupree and Jackyl, but they quickly grew fond of them. As we waited through the two other local southern rock style cover bands Jackyl finally hit the stage at 11:00 PM to a crowd of about 95% Bikers. As I said earlier they were extremely loud, not that I was complaining, that’s how it should be. Except for the minor sound problems early on, Jesse and gang pulled off a great rock n roll show, chainsaw and all! Below is the set list from what I can remember of it, not particularly in this order:
KILL THE SUNSHINE
Jesse had quite a bit of banter in between songs and brought some real good-looking biker chicks on stage with the band also. All in all it was a great show and will be remembered as one of the best shows the Broken Spoke Saloon in Daytona Has ever seen!!
