I just saw the show last night & wanted to post a report :)
WARNING: This is kind of a long posting and it has a few spoilers of the show!!
Alice Cooper performed his "Descent Into Dragontown-2002" tour on
Saturday night (9/28) at Sunset Amphitheater (which is located at Sunset Station Casino).
The outdoor venue holds about 5,000 people. But I really did not care if it would have held a million Cooper fanatics, because I was sitting in the 3rd row from the front of the stage.
It was one year (almost to the date) since my last time of attending an
Alice concert. Almost immediately, I noticed a severe lack of promotion for this event. Concert tickets went on sale Saturday August 3rd, but there were no billboards around the city advertising the performance like there were for last year's concert.
And I never saw any other posters or banners inside the Sunset Station
Casino, which is a shame. Last year the Aladdin had printed up several
back-lit posters as well as various banners and flyers to help promote the arrival by the master of shock-rock to Sin City.
Alice was here to celebrate the re-release of Dragontown, which is a double-disc deluxe edition album containing extra songs and two music videos.
Tonight's set list: (medley)- Sex, Death & Money - Brutal Planet -

Encores: Elected / Cold Ethyl / Department Of Youth / Hit Me Baby One
More Time - Pepsi, For Those Who Think Young!
Band exits stage. “See Me In The Mirror” plays as the lights in the venue are turned on.
The place appeared to be packed to capacity and the crowd was completely into Alice's furious performance.
Since Alice has now already played eight shows of this tour, he's
re-arranged the set list a bit; "Wicked Young Man" replaced "Triggerman" then also "Cold Ethyl" replaced “Welcome to the Jungle” (Guns ‘N Roses cover).
Calico played her parts of the whip dancer, and 'Nurse Rozetta' as well
as Britney with as much sexy, sassy spirit as you could ever imagine.
Band members included; Eric Dover on guitars, Pete Friesen on guitars, Chuck 'Slappy' Wright on bass, Eric Singer on drums, Teddy 'Zig-Zag' Andreadis on keyboards.
The Coop didn't cut any corners with this outdoor show, but he was executed via the famous guillotine mid-way through the concert on the amphitheater's 80-foot stage. A giant backdrop was used that featured a print of old run down oriental buildings, much like you'd expect in
Dragontown.
Eric Singer did NOT perform the 'flaming drumstick' routine during his
solo. Eric Dover used an acoustic guitar during "I Never Cry" and "Only
Women Bleed."
Gilby Clarke was terrific as the warm-up act. And Teddy Zig-Zag even
joined Gilby onstage to sing "Knockin' On Heaven's Door."
